But how did this herb get its name,"
It seems that hundreds of years ago, a goat-herder noticed his male goats were especially randy, mounting their mates several times during a brief period. Curious, the young man observed the animals carefully. He noticed that whenever they ate from a certain patch of weeds, their promiscuous behavior became more pronounced several hours afterwards. One thing led to another... and the rest is history.
So the legend goes. And why not? Local anecdotal evidence has been the basis for most herbal discoveries.
China's favorite formula
Yin Yang Huo
can be taken pure, in powdered form, under careful supervision. But this isn't practical for most people, and we don't sell it in this form. Instead, we offer Yin Yang Huo in capsules combined with several other herbs in the traditional formula. This is called Yi Shen Ling and is safe, non-toxic and can be used by both men and women.
Something else...
Elsewhere, we describe the difference between western and Chinese medicines. The former uses the "sledge-hammer" approach, for quick results but sometimes long-term side effects. In contrast, Chinese herbal medicine takes a bit longer to achieve the desired result, but provides longer-lasting benefit.

The Epimedium (English name for Yin Yang Huo) formula used in Yi Shen Ling is the most widely used by the Chinese, and has been extensively studied and tested. Apart from the overwhelming anecdotal evidence supporting its claims, there is considerable medical documentation.
